Shilpa Shetty - Hosts Big Boss on colors

Shilpa Shetty became the queen of the reality shows after she won UK's famous reality TV show 'Big Brother'. There she was a participant who struggled amid racial discriminations. Now she is going to sit comfortably and watch some Indian celebrities trying to get to the top of the new season of the Indian reality show 'Big Boss'.

Shilpa has been named as the host of this second innings of 'Big Boss' which will go on air most probably in August. The new TV channel COLOURS will be bringing the second season of the show.

After the much hyped Fear Factor-Khatron Ke Khiladi hosted by Akshay Kumar gets over, 'Big Boss' will hit the small screens.

Akshay Kumar : The Stunt King

In his first appearance on the small screen, Akshay Kumar seems to have pretty much grabbed the attention of the TV audience across the country. And this time, he’s not even doing all the action himself. Most of the time, Khiladi Kumar is teaching the 13 girls the stunts they have to perform. And it’s not only TV audiences, but even celebrities, including Akki’s co-stars, who have given thumbs up for his charming hosting skills. This, for instance, is what Raveena Tandon had to say, “Akshay is doing a superb job as the host of the show. And he’s doing what he enjoys the most. The format goes very well with his personality.”

It’s a new, fresh, nail-biting TV show, with a format people can connect and relate to,” exults Akshay, adding, “I have enjoyed every minute of doing the show from the word go. It was a proud moment for me as an Indian when some of these girls went on to break world records in a foreign land in front of a foreign crew.”

Shilpa Shetty, another actress who has worked in many hit films with Akshay, is all praise for the show. “ Khatron Ke Khiladi is so very interesting and engaging that I’m hooked to it. Akshay is a great host and I must say the girls are very daring. I would have never been able to do these stunts.”

Mandira Bedi to dance on Reality TV show

After proving herself as an actor and an anchor on the small screen, Mandira Bedi is now all set to shake a leg for Star Plus's special Independence Day show. "This will be the first time I will be dancing on the small screen and I'm pretty excited about it," said Mandira. Not many people know that Mandira has done an item number for Tamil movie Manmadhan in 2004. Her dancing skills were also seen in the 1995 blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in the song Mehndi laga ke rakhna where she matched steps with Shahrukh Khan and Kajol.

The actress, who was last seen on the big screen in Sanjay Gupta's Dus Kahaniyaan, is now all geared up for Pritish Nandy's Meerabai Not Out—a cricket-centric film in which India's test captain Anil Kumble plays a cameo. The actress, who made an everlasting impression with her with long-running soap Shanti on Doordarshan, is not interested in doing any more serials.

Mandira is mostly anchoring reality shows now. Recently she finished hosting music show Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar and has now replaced Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishen as the anchor of Zee TV's reality show “Ek Se Badkar Ek.”
